The University offers several initiatives and services for both parents, and expectant parents.

Induction checklist for returning parents
A tool to support you in returning from maternity, adoption, or shared parental leave.

Coaching for new parents
Individual coaching sessions for staff going to, or returning from, parental leave. Sessions can cover topics such as, career management, work-life balance, and building confidence.

Nursery provision
There are two nurseries located on the University campus for children of University staff and students. For children aged between 3 months and 5 years.

Free swimming during pregnancy
Unlimited swimming access and no prior membership is required. The University swimming pool has six lanes and a moveable bulkhead, alongside a comfortable teaching pool for lessons.
