Bristol Equality Charter

Representatives from the University and the Students' Union joined organisations from across Bristol to launch the city’s first collective agreement to promote the values of equality, diversity and inclusion. Bristol Equality Charter is a city-wide initiative co-designed by private, public and voluntary sector organisations that aims to create a fairer, safer, accessible and inclusive city where everyone feels they belong, has a voice and an equal opportunity to succeed.

The Bristol Equality Charter was launched at an event at M Shed in November 2018 with original signatories and supporting organisations gathered to show their commitment to promoting these values.  Tracy Brunnock, our EDI Manager, helped shape the Charter as part of a city-wide working group and will now be working closely with partners across Bristol to bring the Charter to life through the newly formed Bristol Equality Network. A copy of the Charter can be downloaded here Bristol Equality Charter (PDF, 381kB) and we encourage staff to display this in their workplace.
