LGBT+ History Month 2019

LGBT+ History Month is a month-long annual observance of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender history, and the history of the gay rights and related civil rights movements which occurs every February. On the 50th Anniversary of the Stonewall Riots, we want this month to seize the opportunity to remember LGBT+ people who have come before us; those who have fought for us, and; those who have made sacrifices so that we can live in the world we live in today. 
 
This month of celebration, exploration and discussion is brought to you by Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Team, Bristol SU LGBT+ network, Trans Network, LGBT+ Society and the Bristol University LGBT+ Staff network. 

Our LGBT+ Staff Network will be sharing the perspectives of its members through a series of blogs. Both personal and historical, the blogs will explore key moments in LGBT+ history, LGBT+ literature and film, and personal experiences of LGBT+ identity.
