We work with a number of suppliers to source ethical and sustainable food across all our services. Our suppliers are located within a 100-mile radius of the University’s campus.

We work with third-party suppliers to provide catering and refreshments for events and meetings. University staff can book event and delivered catering and view a list of suppliers on SharePoint or the MyERP Marketplace.

- John Sheppard ButchersBased in Ashley Down, Bristol, they provide meat, poultry and cooked meat products for our residences and Senate House Marketplace. 90% of all their meat and poultry is sourced within a 50 mile radius.
- Fair Ash FarmsWhere we source our eggs for residences and Senate House Marketplace. They are located less than 15 miles from the main University campus in West Harptree, Bristol.
- Cotteswold DairyThey provide milk and cream for residences, cafes and Senate House Marketplace. Cotteswold Dairy in Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire are one of the largest independent family run dairies in the U.K.
- Simply LunchSimply Lunch supply Source with ready made sandwiches for our cafes and collect catering operations. They have a strong plant-based offering as well as high street favourites. This supplier continuously improves their sustainability and environmental policies, including planting a tree sapling for every Christmas sandwich sold for the past two years.
- Arthur DavidThe company prides itself on delivering high-quality fruits, vegetables, and culinary products to a diverse range of customers. This includes restaurants, hotels, and catering services. Arthur David Greengrocers is known for its commitment to freshness, quality, and customer service. The company continues to uphold the standards set by its founder while adapting to modern market demands and trends.
- Clifton Coffee RoastersClifton Coffee Roasters won the contract to supply the our Source cafes following a tasting session with the University's Coffee Society. This supplier is located 8 miles from the heart of our Clifton campus and have a strong ethical and sustainability policy.
- Bristol Beer FactoryKnown for its innovative approach to brewing, the company produces a diverse range of craft beers, including traditional ales, IPAs, stouts, and experimental brews. Bristol Beer Factory prides itself on using high-quality ingredients and traditional brewing methods, while also embracing modern techniques and flavors. The brewery has gained a strong local following and has won numerous awards for its distinctive and flavorful beers. Beyond brewing, the company is actively involved in the community, supporting local events and initiatives, and contributing to Bristol's vibrant craft beer culture.
- BidfoodThey provide our dry, ambient, chilled and frozen food for residences, cafes and Senate House Marketplace. In conjunction with Olleco, they collect all our waste oil and turn this into biofuel for their delivery vans.
