Book a study desk at the Wills Memorial Library

If you wish to study in the Wills Memorial library you will need to book a study desk before your visit. Bookings are released two weeks in advance.

Before arriving at the library please review the important information on the 'visiting the library' page to ensure your trip is safe for you, your fellow students and our library staff.
 

Opening hours

*On weekdays: The library is open for browsing between 9am-10am (please see ‘Browsing and borrowing’ below for more info) and for study seat bookings from 10am onwards.

 

Browsing and borrowing

The collection is available to browse and self-issue for the first hour of opening on weekdays only (9am-10am, Monday-Friday). This is known as the ‘browsing hour’.

Outside this hour, items can be reserved via Library Search for collection. These will be picked for you by Library staff and you will be notified when your order is ready for collection.

Loan periods and borrowing limits

All Wills Memorial Library items are subject to the standard loan periods and borrowing limits with the following exceptions
MaterialLoan periods and restrictions
Earth Sciences serials All users - one-day loan

New books on display, reference books, theses, some items from special collections, law reports and journals, parliamentary papers, examination papers
