Apprenticeship Levy Share
Employers with over 500 employees are required to contribute to the apprenticeship levy. This levy is used for paying the tuition provider’s apprenticeship standard fees and can not only be used to support the organisations own staff but can be shared with other organisations to cover their apprenticeship tuition fees.
Since January 2020 we have shared apprenticeship levy to support the creation of a further 92 apprenticeship roles across a range of small and medium sized enterprises and other businesses that would not have otherwise been able to access the levy to support the development of their workforces. This demonstrates how we not only value apprenticeships as a way to provide for our future workforce needs, but also as a way to make a civic contribution to the skills and employment needs of the region.

If you are or know of a small or medium enterprise that would like to access the apprenticeship levy to educate and train existing staff or employ new apprentices please get in touch by emailing uob-apprenticeships@bristol.ac.uk to find out more.
