Introduction

We want to understand how many Children of the 90s may have already been infected with the virus which causes COVID-19 and compare this with the information that you have already told us about symptoms. To be of most value it is important to have people taking this test as close to the same time as possible, providing a snapshot in time of the antibody results of Children of the 90s participants. Below you will find an instructional video which was made by our partners REACT at Imperial College London, plus the participant information sheet and instruction booklet.

Once you have reviewed this information, please complete the online consent form using the link which we sent in your email. You need to complete the consent form before we can send you an antibody test.

What is the purpose of the research?

This is an antibody research study. Antibodies are made by the immune system to fight infection. In this study, we will use the results of antibody tests that you do yourself at home to help us understand how many people in Children of the 90s may have already been infected with the virus which causes COVID-19.

The antibody testing results should not be used to change your behaviour as there is still a great deal to learn about this virus and whether or not antibodies are important in preventing people from getting COVID-19 again.

Instructions

The video below gives instructions for carrying out the antibody test. Please also download and read the Participant Information Sheet and Instruction Booklet below. Once you have done so, please complete the consent form. Once you have done this, we will send out the antibody testing kit with further instructions for uploading your results. This video was made by our partners REACT at Imperial College London. Please submit your results using the instructions we will send you.
