Ollie Bendall has been appointed as new University Tennis Coordinator (UTC) with University of Bristol Tennis, thank to funding from the LTA.

We are delighted to announce that Ollie Bendall has been appointed as our new University Tennis Coordinator (UTC). The position has been made possible thanks to the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) who continue to support University of Bristol Tennis as we continue to grow and develop our student tennis offer, which has gone from strength to strength in recent years.

In partnership with student-led University of Bristol Tennis Club (UBTC) committee, Sport, Exercise and Health coaching team and the Bristol Students' Union, Ollie will focus on creating more opportunities for students to play tennis. This includes opportunities to compete in Tennis outside of the usual British Universities and College Sport (BUCS) competitions, and opportunities to help develop student’s employability skills through qualifications, work experience and paid work across our programmes within the University and beyond.

Ollie has been coaching at The University's Tennis Centre (based at Coombe Dingle Sports Complex) for more than 20 years and has been an integral part of the University's Tennis Team since 2017. He brings a wealth of experience to the role, both on and off the court, helping to maximise players' potential. Alongside his role as UTC at Bristol, Ollie is the Avon Tennis Performance Coordinator and Junior Tennis Pro (JTP) at David Lloyd Westbury.

We look forward to welcoming Ollie officially to his new role on Monday 12 July.
