Our research

Our leading academics are actively influencing policy and practice in a broad range of areas, critically addressing the significant challenges that face individuals, communities and organisations and economies.

The research we do aims to tackle the big global issues impacting the economy and society, ranging from environmental and economic sustainability, globalisation, social justice and equality.

We have developed research and impact partnerships, advisory roles to international and national government, non-government organisations (NGOs), professional bodies and regulators, and private and social enterprise. The geographical spread of our academic collaborations and contributions to our disciplinary and interdisciplinary research base is truly global, stretching from North America to Southeast Asia and China, and encompassing the global South.

The School promotes a research environment of diversity and inclusivity, where different academic traditions and co-learning are championed and celebrated.
