Injury Support Group

The Injury Support Group (ISG) is a community that offers health and wellbeing support for students who are experiencing an injury or engaging in rehabilitation for an injury.

The Injury Support Group aims to help improve physical and mental health for all University of Bristol students affected by an injury - through group support sessions and expert input from our Mental Fitness and Wellbeing Consultant.

Sessions include:

For all students affected by an injury

  • Social meet and greet coffee hour at Senate House
  • Group talks on sports psychology for injury and recovery
  • Workshops on:
    • The psychology of injury and recovery
    • Mental fitness tools and strategies
    • The powerful role of social support

Additional support for students on a professionally provided rehab programme

  • ISG supervised training sessions
  • Bookable timeslots to complete rehab programme

Please note, the ISG will not provide a physical rehab plan.

This new Injury Support Group will be open to all injured students, regardless of their level of sport, to support them throughout their recovery and reduce the loneliness that comes with injuries.
