MSc Mathematical Sciences
Our Mathematical Sciences MSc is a flexible and challenging programme taught by leading experts in the field. It allows you to develop a wide range of mathematical techniques and gives you a solid foundation to progress to research and employment at the highest levels.
During this one-year course students focus on an area at the forefront of research in Mathematics, with the opportunity to attend specialised lectures and perform their own research under the supervision of a member of staff. This course runs for a full year from October to September. Under the guidance of a mentor, students choose a combination of taught units that are usually examined in January and May. During the summer, students complete a thesis in an area of current research with guidance from a research supervisor.
