About the team

We are a team of professionally qualified Architects, Engineers, Project Managers, Commercial Managers, Building Surveyors, Clerks of Works and Project Administrators.

We are responsible for the delivery of the University’s large scale building and refurbishment projects. From strategic definition, to concept design, through construction to completion.

The team manage the conception, procurement, construction, and handover of a functioning facility. We use cutting edge technology to deliver the University's wide ranging requirements and strategies.

We utilise a bespoke project Portfolio Database that has been developed using industry best practice and a continuous improvement philosophy. This sees us deliver all projects in accordance with the RIBA 2020 Plan of Work, using the fundamentals of APM and PRINCE2 framework.

Sustainability

Capital Projects are committed to reducing our carbon emissions in response to the climate and ecological emergency. We acknowledge our unique position in ensuring all new and refurbished buildings are carbon neutral by 2030. Our Climate Action Plan Working Group is developing a plan which will identify the specific actions we will take to lead to the greatest carbon reduction and impact. We will post further updates on the plan and the delivery of our actions on this page.
