INTERACT

The INTERACT study is a 6-year research programme funded by the National Institute of Health Research (NIHR) that aims to develop a blended approach to delivering Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to patients.

The study aims to discover whether the treatment is effective, cost-effective, and acceptable to patients.

Research IT took a key role in developing and supporting the web platform which is a central feature of delivering the blended therapy, collaborating with epidemiologists and other researchers in the medical school, and Human Computing Interface (HCI) researchers in the Department of Computer Science.

The INTERACT study is led by Professor Nicola Wiles and Professor David Kessler of the University of Bristol and is a collaboration with the Universities of Glasgow, York, Hull York Medical School, University College Dublin, and University College London.
