MSc Nuclear Science and Engineering
In this programme, you will gain a solid grounding in the science and engineering principles underpinning the global nuclear industry. Throughout the programme you will benefit from an innovative connection, via the South West Nuclear Hub, to the University of Bristol’s nationally-leading industrial research.
Our MSc in Nuclear Science and Engineering teaches you the science and engineering background to the operation of nuclear fission and fusion energy. The MSc prepares you for a career in industry or academia, combining the strengths of our science and engineering faculties with an established programme of nationally recognised industrial research.
MSc Scientific Computing with Data Science
Lead by the School of Chemistry but working with the School of Physics, this MSc programme is aimed at recent science graduates who want to learn more about modern programming languages, data science and machine learning algorithms. On this course you will learn software engineering concepts and the principles of scientific computing and data science. You will also use your skills to model complex scientific systems, giving you an edge in a competitive and fast-changing labour market.
Through project work, industrial networking and visits, you will build contacts opening up additional job opportunities once qualified. Whatever your scientific background, this programme will train you in coding and data science, building on your core scientific knowledge and giving you a robust appreciation of what can be achieved by combining these skills.
