Our Show Me How sessions are informal, personalised Library training sessions available for all students. These sessions give practical advice to help you make the most of your Library Service while studying with us!

What can the sessions cover?
Sessions can vary according to what you’d like to discuss or learn about! Examples of what Show Me How training session can cover:
- How to find books and other resources via a simple author/title/keyword search
- How to find (or reserve) these, either on the shelves or online
- How to issue printed books to your account, and return them.
- How to log in to Eduroam.
- How to print.
- How to book a seat or study room.
- How to find additional support, in person or online, for example your Subject Librarian, or the Study Skills and Library Support teams.

Who can take part in a Show Me How session?
Any University of Bristol student can book a session! You can book a 1:1 session just for yourself, or a group session with up to four students.
Why should I book a session?
To help build your understanding of the services and facilities offered by Library Services.
The Library offers much more than study seats and printers. As a confident Library user, you can save money on textbooks, search through thousands of peer-reviewed scholarly articles from our print and electronic collections, and secure a study seat when you most need it via our online booking system.
You can also make the most of our team of over 150 Library staff, including specialist teams who will support you with study skills, accessibility needs, and much more.
Who will deliver the sessions?
Our team of friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic library customer services staff, who are very experienced in the day-to-day running of the Library.
Where and when will the sessions take place?
You can decide! We offer Show Me How sessions at every library on the Clifton campus, with additional drop-in sessions at the Arts & Social Sciences Library.
Sessions will last about 30 to 45 minutes and can be booked from Mondays to Fridays between 9am and 5pm.
