The following groups of undergraduate students have their own PointSolutions keypads. This removes the need for the lecturer to book, collate and return equipment. However, if you teach these students, you may still need to book a receiver, in which case refer to the table below (but you should check the list of teaching spaces fitted with a TurningPoint receiver first).
Some schools have invested in licences for students to use their own devices with web-based polling. The table below shows these licences and indicates who can use them, together with training and booking contacts.
Owner | No. of licences | System | Can be used by | Booking contact | Training contact |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
CAME | 1,150 | Poll Everywhere | Some student cohorts in Engineering | Contact us | Contact us |
Mathematics | 350 | Poll Everywhere | Some student cohorts in Mathematics | Contact us | Contact us |
There are also some centrally-purchased ResponseWare (TurningPoint) licences available for staff across the University to use. If you would like to make use of one of these, please contact digital-education@bristol.ac.uk.
There is no central PointSolutions equipment that can be booked, but there are many locally-maintained sets around the University, some of which you can use. The table below lists these sets and indicates who can use them, together with training and booking contacts. Note that these generally need to be booked, collected and returned for each session, although longer loans are sometimes negotiable.
