Podcasts for assessment

Podcast handbook for conservation biologists (PDF, 1,150kB)

This guide was designed for a second-year Conservation Biology unit (10CP) which runs over 6 weeks.

Students are first introduced to the novel assessment in a few different ways (including a formative submission) before taking on the role of the marker and conducting peer review.

Students work in pairs throughout and submit an 8 minute podcast as their summative assignment.

Example podcasts:

A collection of podcasts tackling difficult issues in the world of wildlife conservation and environmental issues. Each podcast has been produced by students that have studied the Ecology and Conservation unit at the University of Bristol. Click here to access the podcasts.
