This is an amalgam of many of the other types.  It is also a feature of the personality type which is easy going and conciliatory.   Tonto, you may remember, was the Lone Ranger’s friend.  Tonto protected the Lone Ranger’s back from other danger in the form of other Indians and other white men.  Tonto got all the worst jobs and the Lone Ranger got the white horse and al the glory.  Tonto seldom got any words to say onscreen but yet it was clear that the two were partners and the Lone Ranger would not have survived on his own.  Tonto is mostly content and rarely sees it as his/her job to challenge the way things work either on behalf of deaf people or for the hearing.
