Project Outline
Over the next three years we will be assessing osteoarthritis pain mechanisms in dogs. This is the first step towards enabling us to provide personalised pain relief to dogs suffering from chronic pain.
Aims
- To increase our knowledge about pain related to osteoarthritis in dogs
- Investigate the relationship between pain patterns in osteoarthritis and pain mechanisms and translate the idea of personalized pain therapy from people to dogs.
- Ultimately to improve the treatment of pain for dogs with this condition.
