Getting there

Citizens from countries outside of the European Union will need a valid passport. It is also recommended that citizens from the European Union travel with a valid passport, since not all ID cards are accepted. If you have any concerns regarding this matter, please contact the British Consulate or Embassy in your home country.

There will be no official airline sponsor for this conference, since Bristol airport is a 2nd class airport, thus ticket prices are very competitive against the 1st class airports of London.

Getting there by plane
There are direct flights to Bristol Airport from Munich, Frankfurt, Alicante, Malaga, Faro, Palma Mallorca, Paris, Barcelona, Nice and Prague. More information can be found at: http://www.bristolairport.co.uk.
For European countries that do not have direct flights to Bristol Airport, consider flying via Amsterdam (KLM), Brussels (SN Brussels Airline) Paris (Air France and BA) or Frankfurt (BA). Alternatively try the other airports located in the South West of England or London airports such as Heathrow or Gatwick, listed here: http://www.a2bairports.co.uk.
It is only a 30 minute coach ride from Bristol Airport to the City Centre and flying into Bristol Airport is the most convenient way of getting to Bristol.

Getting there by train
Frequent trains from London, Swindon, Cardiff, Birmingham,Bath, Exeter and the North run throughout the week to Bristol Temple Meads station. For more information on the train timetables consult: http://www.a2bairports.co.uk/bristol.shtml.

From Bristol Temple Meads Station it is a 20 minute walk, a 10 minute bus ride (8/508 or 9/509) or a 5 minute taxi ride to the city centre.

Getting there by bus
To and from Bristol Airport: The Bristol International Flyer is the only express coach link between Bristol railway station (Temple Meads) and Bristol bus station (Marlborough Street) and Bristol International Airport. There is a comfortable Flyer lounge at Temple Meads train station.
- Journey time: about 30 minutes, 8 miles, single ticket: £4.

To and from Heathrow or Gatwick Airport: There is a direct coach service to Bristol bus station (Marlborough Street), it is not necessary to book tickets in advance, for more information: http://www.gobycoach.com.
- Journey time from Heathrow: about 2 hours, single £27.50 return ticket: £29.00 (at Nov 2002)
- Journey time from Gatwick: about 3 hours 30 minutes, single £31.00 return ticket: £34.50 (at Nov 2002)
