A Thermo-Finnigan, multi-collector inductively coupled plasma mass-spectrometer (MC-ICPMS). This was the second production line instrument of this kind. This instrument is used in solution mode (with quartz double spray chamber, ESI Apex IR or CETAC Aridus) or with a hydride generator.

This instrument has an RPQ filter and discrete dynode multiplier for high abundance sensitivity U-series measurements. The interface pump has been upgraded to improve sensitivity.
