The initial commitment is a 3-day in-person programme kick off that will take place at Engine Shed on 21st – 23rd May 2024. This will be followed by a 3-month period (with a month-long break in August) of weekly Wednesday afternoon working sessions and a finale pitching event attended by academic, start-up, government, and industry stakeholders on 17th October.
Participants will form teams to solve challenges informed by SMEs and industry leaders relating to the promotion of financial inclusion through technology and innovation that can have a significant societal impact.
Resources will include training and support from experts, advice and coaching from mentors, and a £1,000 expenses fund for each team. Expected outputs could range from the development of new business ideas, briefs for subsequent research, or the grains of new policy for development.
To apply and to help us organise your team, please complete this form. While we hope to offer places to all interested, in the event of this opportunity being oversubscribed this form will be used to shortlist final participants.
