SCONUL Access at the University of Bristol Library
We are members of the SCONUL Access scheme, welcoming students and staff from other universities to our library.
SCONUL Access is a joint agreement between most UK universities. It allows students and staff to use other academic libraries when they are travelling or away from their main campus.
We allow all SCONUL Access users to use the Arts and Social Sciences Library. Depending on your status, you may also to be able to access other libraries and borrow up to 5 books simultaneously from our collections.
To apply to the University of Bristol, you will need:
- Authorisation email from SCONUL (received after applying for SCONUL Access)
- Passport-style photo
- University card
University of Bristol students: visiting other university libraries
Use SCONUL Access while on vacation or when working away from Bristol.
University of Bristol staff and students can access the libraries of over 200 UK and Ireland universities.
When visiting certain universities, you may also be able to borrow books from their academic library.
