Announcing the recipients of the Cabot Institute's community event funding

Press release issued: 21 November 2023

We are delighted to announce the seven successful recipients of our first open call to support Cabot community events.

The events funded through this call will take place this academic year (2023 - 2024) and will connect people across disciplines in support of the Cabot Institute for the Environment mission: to provide the evidence, education and solutions that protect our environment and identify ways to live better with our changing planet.

This year, the Cabot Institute held several consultation events, seeking input on the development of the new Cabot Institute strategy. This call for Cabot community event funding was established based on the feedback we received at these events, to enable the Cabot community to develop and deliver the environmental interdisciplinary meetings, workshops or events that were most impactful for them.

All the activities will:

  • bring people together to focus on an interdisciplinary environmental topic;
  • help connect people across disciplines and/or sectors;
  • be open to all researchers across the University; and
  • align with the Cabot Institute mission.

Look out for further information about each of these events in the Cabot Institute newsletter.

There was a lot of interest in the call and we hope to be able to run it again next year. Sign up to the Cabot Institute newsletter (details below) to receive notification of future calls.
