Bristol Teaching Awards

The Bristol Teaching Awards (BTAs) recognise and celebrate individual staff and teams (both academic and professional services) who have made an outstanding contribution to teaching, the provision of support for students' learning, and/or enhancement of the student learning experience.

• Inspiring and Innovative Teaching Award
  An award for staff members who inspire students through their teaching, who provide innovative and dynamic teaching and create an active and inclusive learning environment. Postgraduate students who teach are eligible.
• Inspiring and Innovative Teaching Team Award
  An award for teams who inspire students through their teaching, who provide innovative and dynamic teaching and create an active and inclusive learning environment.
• Outstanding Personal Tutoring/Academic Support Award
  An award for academic staff who encourage and nurture students, providing opportunities, time and space for them to thrive both academically and personally.
• Outstanding Research Supervison Award
  An award for research supervisors who encourage and support their supervisees, providing advice and guidance that enables students to develop as researchers.
• Outstanding Support Award (Professional Services and Technical staff only)
  An award for staff members within Professional Services or technical teams who enable excellent teaching, learning and/or pastoral care through high-quality advice, guidance and support.
• Outstanding Support Team Award (Professional Services teams and Technical teams only)
  An award for teams within Professional Services or a technical team who enable excellent teaching, learning and/or pastoral care through high quality advice, guidance and support.
