Acknowledging the facility
Users must agree to acknowledge the Wolfson Bioimaging Facility in publications and presentations that include data acquired on facility equipment and/or with our support.
- All publications including data from use of Facility instruments or analysed with our support should, at the very least, acknowledge the Wolfson Bioimaging Facility as a whole, e.g. ‘the authors gratefully acknowledge the Wolfson Bioimaging Facility for their support and assistance in this work.
- Where users have had significant help from Wolfson Bioimaging Facility staff the relevant staff member(s) should be acknowledged by name, e.g. ‘the authors thank *** of the Wolfson Bioimaging Facility for their assistance in this work.
- If Facility staff contribute substantially to experimental design, development of protocols or data interpretation they should be included as co- authors of resulting papers. In such cases the papers should additionally acknowledge the facility as a whole as above.
- Please also mention the Wolfson Bioimaging Facility in presentations (talks and posters) that include data acquired here. The facility logo can be added to acknowledgements slides to aid this.
- Data acquired with equipment funded by specific grants should acknowledge that funding. Details of equipment funding are provided below.
- In order for us to publicise papers and use these as evidence of impact please notify the Facility director when relevant papers are published. University of Bristol users should also include the Facility when uploading publication details on Pure.
