The options available to University staff wishing to park in the precinct during normal working hours, Monday to Friday.
University staff (working in the precinct)
- Purchase annual pay & display permit and purchase pay & display ticket for the day
- Or purchase annual reserved permit (if further than 2 miles)- cannot use pay & display
- Or purchase car-shares annual reserved permit (if further than 2 miles)- can use pay & display in exceptional circumstances
Orange badge holders Receive free annual reserved permit
- cannot use pay & display (note marked bays)
Retired University staff
- purchase special annual pay & display permit and purchase pay & display ticket for the day
Non-precinct staff
- Purchase annual pay & display permit and purchase pay & display ticket for the day
- Or obtain one day pass and purchase a pay & display ticket for the day
The options available to non-University staff needing to park in the precinct during normal working hours, Monday to Friday
- Deliveries etc
- Any vehicle on University business, would be able to park for 15 minutes without having to purchase a pay & display permit.
- Lay-members of University University provides them with pre-paid parking cards
- Regular visitors / contractors / service engineers Purchase special annual pay & display permit (would be company specific rather than vehicle specific) and purchase pay & display ticket for the day
- Occasional contractors obtain special one day pass and purchase pay & display ticket for the day
- Occasional visitors obtain special one day pass and purchase pay & display ticket for the day
- Occasional visitors University provides them with pre-paid parking cards (required for Univ. work)
There would be an onus on the University host to communicate the University's parking arrangements to their visitor and then take the necessary action.
Students
- Purchase annual pay & display permit and purchase pay & display ticket for the day (only at Bristol Student's Union)
