The University is working with the West of England Combined Authority (WECA) on a sustainable urban freight trial as part of the government-funded Future Transport Zone project.
Part-funded through the Energy Saving Trust and by the University, a fleet of eight electric cargo bikes is being deployed across our campuses to provide an alternative to fleet vans and cars.
Use of the cargo bikes located at three university sites in Bristol will be monitored as part of the WECA trial with learning shared amongst other trial participants including Bristol Royal Infirmary and University of the West of England.
