Guardians of Grub!
The University of Bristol Food offering has always been rooted in sustainability and food waste reduction. Working with masters' students and the WRAP (Waste Resources Action Plan) 'Guardians of Grub' campaign we have been able to make great strides in food waste reduction.

The University of Bristol becomes a Going for Gold Champion!
The city of Bristol is currently taking part in the national programme ‘Sustainable Food Cities’ and is bidding to become a Gold Sustainable Food City! The University of Bristol is a key partner in achieving this gold status and has recently become a Going for Gold Champion due to the amazing work that is being undertaken across the University to promote sustainable food in Bristol.

Turning the tables on food waste in our Halls
As part of the University’s activities around sustainable food, from sustainable sourcing to waste management, the University’s catering team at Churchill Hall joined a three-month food waste reduction trial with Bristol Food Network and Chefs Eye Tech, which started on the 15th of January 2019. As part of Bristol's ambition to become the first Gold Award Sustainable Food City in the UK, the University is representing the university food waste sector in Bristol, building upon Bristol gaining the Sustainable Food Cities Silver Award in 2016.
