Charity Shop Blitz

Student volunteers from the Lloyd's Scholarship Programme gave 40 hours helping sort donations at Sue Ryder.

Last week a team of volunteers from Bristol SU helped the Sue Ryder charity shop on Park Street to sort through three months of generous  donations after the store manager was left without volunteers over the summer. The stockroom was piled high with clothes, bags and even vintage cameras.

Our team of first year volunteers, Lily, Marcus, Vernon, Finn and Amy, are all on the Lloyds Scholarship Programme. Together they gave a combined 40 hours of volunteering time on the day clearing and sorting over half the new stock and preparing donations for the Sue Ryder shops in Westbury and on Whiteladies Road.

The shop now has a few regular student volunteers but would welcome more especially those staying in Bristol over the Christmas break. To get involved just pop into the shop and ask how you can help.
