Yammer is built into your suite of Office 365 tools, along with other apps such as Outlook, Word and Excel, and is free to use. Yammer is already helping colleagues at the university to connect – to discuss and share news and ideas – and to collaborate openly.

We invite you to join our conversation and to follow Staff Development on Yammer, so that you can stay up-to-date with all our most recent news!
If you are still unsure what Yammer is or are wondering how best to use it – then watch this brief and informative video by Imperial College London which explains everything you need to know to get started.

KnowHow - Gender equality

Friday 8th March is International Women's Day and the theme for 2019 is #BalanceforBetter:
A balanced world is a better world. How can you help forge a more gender-balanced world?
Celebrate women's achievement. Raise awareness against bias. Take action for equality
.

The university aspires to a fully inclusive culture, and is committed to addressing workplace barriers to equality, diversity and inclusion. Over the past 5 years we have taken action to address the gender balance, including narrowing the gender pay gap, and maintaining our work with the Athena SWAN Charter. Athena SWAN has also been extended to all non-STEMM schools.
For more information on the work the University is doing in this area, see the Gender in the Workplace web pages.
Despite our progress, there is always more that we can do, and building an inclusive culture requires all staff to contribute.

Take a look at these KnowHow articles, which highlight the importance of a diverse and inclusive workplace, and steps we can take to reach this:
