The Brambles is the University’s staff and Post Graduate Research students (PGR) social space, where you can meet with colleagues and friends or take some time to unwind.

The space is always free Monday to Friday from 12-2pm for you to enjoy your lunch breaks. Bring your own food to the Dining Room or order from the Hawthorns. The Quiet Room is a peaceful space to read and relax. The Games Room has a full-sized snooker table, a ping-pong table, board games and a couple of computers.

During the rest of the day feel free to drop in too. There may be times when parts of the Brambles are booked out by those holding social gatherings, events or informal meetings - but signs will be displayed so you’ll know which areas are booked.

The Brambles is open from 8am-6pm Monday to Friday. You just need to swipe your U-Card to get inside.
