Events and Training

Research, Enterprise and Development run several different types of training and information sessions.  This section covers those provided by the Research Development and the Knowledge Exchange Teams at a faculty and university level. We also provide ad-hoc sessions and events for schools as requested (these are promoted directly in schools.

The types of training we offer include:

  • Overviews of postdoctoral funding opportunities
  • Training on writing good grant proposals
  • Sessions on impact and developing partnerships
  • Grant Writing Retreats
  • Training targeted at Early Career Researchers
  • Interview training (invite-only, for those with short-listed applications with this stage)
  • Mock Panels replicating funder decision making

Some areas also offer regular drop-in sessions where you can pop along and ask questions about research funding. We also co-deliver training with other teams as appropriate.
