Project role

The University of Medicine and Pharmacy 'Carol Davila' is a principal contractor in this project. We are able to assess placental antioxidant status and the influence of oxidative stress on fetal sensitisation (WP2). We are able to supply placental material and blood samples from different polluted areas (urban and rural) from Romania for determination of risk factors for allergy (WP1.1, 1.3, 5, 6). The team will also assess allergy status of the mothers and of the birth cohort.
