National Research and Development Institute for Environment Protection logoThe Research-Development National Institute for Environmental Protection (ICIM) is a national institute co-ordinated by the Romanian Ministry of Waters and Environmental Protection and performs - based on economic contract - complex researches and studies in the field of environmental protection and engineering, with accent on the management of waters, air and ecozones.

Project Role

  • Regular air quality monitoring in the two regions of interest consisting in the following determinations: TSP (total suspended particles), SO2, NO2, atmospheric deposition.
  • Determination of organochlorine compounds (all three classes of interest)
  • Area monitoring of 24 hour outdoor P.M. 2.5 once during each season using appropriate sampling equipment.

Sc., senior research scientists at the National Research and Development Institute for Environmental Protection, with more than ten years experience in environmental monitoring programmes, development and implementation; co-ordination of national and international projects.
