26 March 2018

Students Maddy Nichols and Rafael Moreno Tortolero who have just returned from working alongside world-leading prosthetic limb manufacturers Ottobock at the PyeongChang Winter Paralympics have been featured on the BBC.

Rafa and Maddy appeared on BBC Radio Bristol’s Breakfast Show on 26 March 2018 discussing their time assisting with emergency repairs and maintenance work, following on from their previous appearance on the show on 7 March, before they set off on the trip.

Maddy also appeared in a short film featured on the home page of the BBC website behind the scenes of the Paralympics, highlighting the work that Ottobock do servicing and repairing cutting-edge prosthetics so that they are prepped and performance-ready for the competing athletes.

Look out for Maddy this week when she will be chatting live to BBC Points West about her experiences in South Korea at one of the world’s biggest sporting events.
