Bristol’s newly established £10M EPSRC funded Centre for Doctoral Training in Quantum Engineering will train a new generation of engineers, scientists and entrepreneurs to harness the power of quantum mechanics and lead the quantum technology revolution.

Quantum engineering is a revolutionary approach to quantum technology. By taking a holistic view, it encompasses both fundamental physics and the broad engineering skillset necessary to meet the practical challenges of the future. A quantum engineer will be fluent in quantum mechanics, electrical and electronic engineering, systems engineering and computer science as well as other physical sciences. Through world-leading academic research, as well as partnering with some of the industry's most important companies, the Quantum Engineering CDT in Bristol has created an environment that delivers a unique training and development experience for PhD students.
