Balazs Gyorffy, Emeritus Professor of Physics at the University of Bristol, died on 25 October 2012.

A memorial event will take place at 14.00 on Saturday 17 November 2012 in the Tyndall Lecture Theatre, School of Physics (entry from the rear Royal Fort entrance).

The Gyorffy family together with the School of Physics warmly invites those who knew Balazs to celebrate his huge contributions to Physics and the wider University and to remember the force of nature that was Balazs Gyorffy.
