Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Committee
The School Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Committee (EDIC):
- Supports the School in fulfilling its legal duties under the Equality Act 2010, specifically in relation to the Public Sector Equality Duty
- Represents the School in its commitment to equality of opportunity in career development, progression, and retention of all its staff
- Guides the School in matters relating to diversity and inclusion for all its staff as well as undergraduate and postgraduate students
- Provides a forum to discuss, promote and disseminate a culture within the School that values diversity and inclusion and supports work-life balance
- Progresses and oversees the development of the Athena SWAN application for the School, sharing and embedding good practice as appropriate.
