On 8th of June 2022 Hello Bio Ltd in close collaboration with researchers at the University of Bristol launched the first set of highly validated, data-rich and affordable antibodies. This new product range (ValidAbsTM) was developed as part of an Innovate UK KTN funded Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) between the University of Bristol and Hello Bio Ltd. The scheme provides funding for a KTP Associate (Dr. Matthew Wilkinson, School of Physiology, Pharmacology and Neuroscience), who receives a very wide range of training through working with both partners. The Academic Lead and Supervisor of the KTP project is Professor Elek Molnár (School of Physiology, Pharmacology and Neuroscience). Dr Daniel Whitcomb (Translational Health Sciences) is the Academic Co-Supervisor. The project is also supported by Benoit Welch (KTP Specialist, Research and Enterprise Development) and Dr Geraint Jones (Knowledge Transfer Adviser, Innovate UK KTN). The main aim of the KTP project is to raise industry standards through providing researchers with comprehensive antibody validation data and appropriately tested methodologies to engender trust and enable reproducibility in research. This collaboration provides ideal opportunities to exploit business opportunities through the introduction of unique antibodies that complement and extend Hello Bio’s product portfolio.
