Daphna  obtained a BA Music degree at Manhattan School Of Music in New York City USA in classical double bass performance. She studied with Mr. Homer Mensch, former New York Philharmonic principal double bassist. Daphna performed both as classical and Jazz double bass player. She collaborated with the Academy of Ancient and has been leading her own projects, performing at the Southbank London, Oxford University, Liverpool University, Cambridge University and toured in Europe, USA, Asia and South Africa. Her music and double bass playing was featured on BBC radio 3, Songlines magazine  and the Strad magazine.

Daphna released 5 albums of her music on 33Jazz UK record label and Tzadik label New York. She has received 4 grants to produce music projects and collaborations with national and international artists.

Her teaching included double bass instruction and workshops at Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge, SOAS University London, King’s College School and St John’s College School Cambridge.
