Ashley Bremner

Instrument: Voice

Ashley studied singing at the Royal Academy of Music with Joy Mammen
 
After graduation he sang for Scottish Opera chorus and then Welsh National Opera extra chorus where he has been a long standing member. He has sung solo for leading UK opera companies. 
 
Roles include: Donner Das Rheingold and cover Gunther Götterdämmerung (Scottish Opera); Guglielmo Cosi fan tutte, Sharpless Madame Butterfly, Germont La Traviata (Swansea City Opera); Restaurant Waiter and Ship's Steward Death in Venice (The Aldeburgh and Bregenz Festivals); Sonora La fancuilla del West and Moralès Carmen (Wexford Opera and Raymond Gubbay - Royal Albert Hall); Figaro Le nozze di Figaro (Opera Armonico); Blifil on the recording of Edward German's Tom Jones (Naxos). As well as opera he has sung many operetta roles for Carl Rosa Opera.
 
Ashley has an LRAM singing teaching certificate (distinction) from the Royal Academy of Music. His teaching is based mainly on the study of Frederick Husler, encouraging a free sound, good posture, performance and language skills.
