How to reference correctly workshop and Q&A
Online
Referencing is one of the most fiddly and detail-oriented parts of writing an essay. Like proof-reading, however, it pays to do it correctly, as your work will better meet with scholarly standards and appear more professional to your markers.
In this online session we'll look at:
- the purpose of referencing
- how to cite various types of resources (and when)
- where you can go for further help, including on referencing software such as EndNote
There will be a 30-minute question and answer time at the end. Please bring your referencing questions.
This session is intended for undergraduate and taught postgraduate students from across faculties.
The workshop will take place on Microsoft Teams. A link to the session will be sent out when you register for a ticket.
