n.b. Prerequisite: Digital 3D part two - An introduction to 3D modelling
This hands-on workshop will cover the technical aspects of putting together a VR exhibition.
Students are encouraged to bring their own laptop. Laptops should be preinstalled with the freely available Unreal Engine 5. MacOS, Linux & Windows versions are available. Some laptops will be provided for attendees to use but only a limited number are available.
The workshop will cover how to make 360 degree immersive videos.
After completing this session attendees will be able to book out a Meta Quest 2 VR headsets and Inst360 video camera from the library for independent use.
It is aimed at people who have an idea for a virtual exhibition of images, 3D models or audiovisual material but lack the technical knowledge to turn these into a VR experience. Each session will have a capacity of 12x students.
