I always knew I wanted to be a lawyer. Whether I would be ‘good’ at it was something that I questioned throughout my first year. Winning this prize did not just award my hard work, but also awarded the efforts of my parents that led me to be here, studying something that I love this much.

"Receiving the Medical Law award was a delightful surprise. Covid-19 presented ethical and legal challenges for healthcare systems globally. I am grateful to my lecturers and tutors, who allowed me to better appreciate and understand the interplay between law and policy as means to address social needs while respecting individual rights, especially amidst pandemic circumstances."
