Press release issued: 14 February 2018

Apply now for the PhD Graduate Teaching Assistant Scholarship – the deadline is Wednesday 7 March.

Applications are invited for a full-time, 4 year research scholarship for new PhD students commencing in September 2018.

The Graduate Teaching Assistant (GTA) scheme requires the Postgraduate Research student to teach Undergraduate students, as well as carry out research. The scheme is available to UK/EU and international students with a conditional or unconditional offer of place to study a PhD with the school.

Reece Lewis, PhD Candidate and Teacher at the Law School, said:

"I am truly grateful that the University of Bristol Law School awarded me the GTA Scholarship. It has allowed me to fund my PhD research, while, at the same time, the scholarship has enabled me to develop my teaching skills and experience. It has been rewarding and has made my studies possible."

Law School PhD Candidate and Teacher Konstantinos Polomarkakis commented:

"Bristol's GTA Scholarship more than enables PhD candidates to succeed in their studies. It allows them to undertake research in the topic of their choice and to nurture their teaching skills, essential for the academic job market, while offering a competitive maintenance for 4 years."
