Professor Achilles Skordas, Meltem Ineli-Ciger, and Professor Philippe de Bruycker (Université libre de Bruxelles/European University Institute) lead a project on the protection of war refugees in Europe, focussing on the 2001 Temporary Protection Directive, on behalf of the Commission of the European Union. The project, which is carried out in cooperation with an international consultancy company, will be completed in a year, and will support the  policy-making of the Commission in this field.
