Congratulations to Joanne Conaghan, Head of School, on her highly successful inaugural lecture last night. The lecture, entitled 'Civil Liability: Addressing Police failures in the context of rape, domestic and sexual abuse', was delivered to a packed house of University of Bristol staff, students and members of the public. The lecture was introduced by Professor Nick Lieven, Pro-Vice Chancellor for the Faculty of Social Sciences and Law, and afterwards the guests enjoyed a drinks reception in the first floor foyer of the wonderful Wills Memorial Building.
