Professor Tony Prosser spoke to a symposium on his latest book, 'The Economic Constitution' at the University of Rome La Sapienza on 9 March 2015.  The meeting was chaired by Professoressa Paola Chirulli of the La Sapienza, and after his presentation comments were offered on the relevance of the book to Italian experience by two leading Italian experts in public finance and administrative law, Professores Francesco Bilancia and Professore Giacinto della Cananea, and this was followed by interesting general discussion.  A particularly strong theme was the relationship between public law and public borrowing and spending, especially in the context of measures taken as a result of the eurozone crisis.
