The first in person Change Network event will take place on Tuesday 14th November. The Change Network now has over 200 members and comprises people interested in change management and/or with a responsibility for change. It operates as a virtual network, hosted on Teams, but there has been increasing interest in an in-person event.
The Change Team will be hosting the event as a drop-in session for people to come and talk to the Change Team and network with other colleagues interested in doing change well. There will also be the opportunity for people to contribute their thoughts and ideas in response to questions posed on flip charts around the room. The sorts of questions posed will be around what we can do to more effectively support change across the University, what concerns colleagues have about change and what they would like to see from the Change Network going forward.
If you’re interested in attending the event, please complete this form: https://forms.office.com/e/x7SRas5rQF

The following update contains topics that some may find difficult or upsetting. If you feel affected by this, please know support is available to you via our University wellbeing services, including our 24-hour helpline.
Last week was Baby Loss Awareness Week (9th – 15th October 2023), which aims to raise awareness of baby loss during pregnancy or during or shortly after birth, and to provide support to bereaved parents and families.
During this week, we launched our Pregnancy loss support guidance, to recognise this difficult experience that many members of staff face and the impact this can have on both physical and mental health.
This guidance reminds staff of the support available within the University, including leave provisions and wellbeing services, as well as useful resources available through external specialist charities.
There is also a section which provides guidance and resources for managers to hold these sensitive conversations and support staff at this challenging time. This guidance is available within the Home & Family section of the staff intranet. The University will continue to consider ways in which we are able to further support staff in all areas of their wellbeing.
To increase awareness of this guidance and the support available, please circulate to your teams as you feel appropriate.
